5.0 out of 5 stars “boyfriend”/androgynous fit, excellent valueReviewed in the United States on May 29, 2019
Size: MediumColor: Navy, DotsVine Customer Review of Free Product( What's this? )
I love clothing cut to look kind of gender neutral, so these shirts are perfect for me. They have a somewhat androgynous fit, with a more or less straight cut from armpit to hip. I have a few slim fit men’s shirts because that’s my look, but these are far better, since they are made to fit a figure with hips (which means it fits all the way down without buttons straining to the bottom of the shirt). Bonus: great price.
So if you are looking for a straight fit (as opposed to tailored or princess seamed, which is made to create an hourglass), this is a great shirt with lots of fabric options. See pics for a few I got!

I liked this shirt so much that I ordered another, one pink stripe, one blue stripe. I plan to wear it with my Levis and white chino shorts. I was on the fence between a SMALL and MED and ended up ordering SMALL. Glad that I did. Fits perfectly. I’m 5’6”, 150 lbs. 34C, 32 rib cage, 28 waist, 40 hips. I’ve got room under the arms. A Med would have been too big under the arms I’m sure. I am able to button all the way down, even around my ample behind but not too baggy around the waist and back! Feels nice, lightweight and crisp, cool enough for our 100+ days in Arizona right now.

I love this shirt! Wore today for the first time. It is so soft and comfy. I'm a pear shape figured woman so I always buy large shirts. I'm 5'9", 150#. Fit is good, not too bulky to tuck into my pants. Length was as described. I'm going to order more of these in other colors. I haven't washed it yet. If it's too wrinkly and I have to iron it...well...that won't do. ?? But I'll get back on here and update if I need to. Otherwise I give the black/white gingham shirt 5 stars!
Update: 2020, I just ordered the black in medium and am so happy! These wash up beautifully. I recommend popping them in the dryer alone for 2 minutes to begin drying then hang to release the wrinkles. They dry QUICKLY! LOVE THIS SHIRT. I'll be ordering more colors.

I have both the Amazon Essentials classic fit button down Oxford and the Amazon Essentials classic fit button down poplin shirts. I absolutely love both. This shirt, the poplin, is lighter weight and wrinkles much less straight from the dryer. Both shirts have a men's style fit, with no darts to nip in the waist. The length is just below the bottom. The cuff is crisp and has a double button to make turning the cuff once or twice secure and tidy. This style is best for layering, as it is light and cool. The black gingham is pure, classic preppy. I rarely buy items before they go on sale, but I wanted this pattern and would pay full price again. Perfect.

I wear it all the time. Didn’t shrink. The fabric was is nice. Has some stretch. But isn’t baggy. More boxy. But that’s ok because I tuck it into my jeans. I have purchased several versions of this blouse over the last year and a half, I love these blouses. These are very well made and consistent in size, the sizes are true to US sizes, that's a plus in today's world of fashion.
I have purchased Foxcroft blouses in the past and still have to iron them even though they're supposed to be no-iron blouses. Since I have to iron them, I decided to try the Amazon blouses and think they're better in quality and definitely in price. The only issue I have with these blouses is the Pink is always sold out, I do wish there was more variety in fabric patterns, too.
If you're looking for a great blouse that is feminine and flattering, buy this blouse as it's both.

5.0 out of 5 stars Color is a pleasant surprise
Reviewed in the United States on July 16, 2019
Size: LargeColor: Indigo, StripeVerified Purchase
I have purchased this shirt in another color so I know it washes well and has minimal shrinkage. The weight of the fabric is very good, and it arrived a bit less wrinkled than the other shirt did. It is however 100% cotton and will wrinkle easily. A good test for wrinkling is to take the fabric in your hand and crinkle it, squeezing tight and holding it for about five seconds, then releasing it. If you see wrinkles, you know the garment will wrinkle easily.
I ordered the indigo color, hoping it was a navy stripe. I would say it’s more like a heathered denim colored stripe with gray undertones. Please see the picture. I really like the color and think it actually will be better than a solid navy because it is softer. Will easily pass as a gray if I choose to wear it with something with more gray tones… Or navy if I wear it with bluejeans. I think the softer color will be more flattering. For me, this will add to my wardrobe as a classic staple.

Blouse looks very nice on~not baggy looking on me at all. I've gotten lots of compliments because it compliments my body shape. I carry weight in tummy/waist. 5/7 with long legs 33inseam and my torso is a little on the shorter side. Hope this helps someone. I got the navy flowered like print. Cannot see thru and adorable with jeans, navy, light blue or white pants/shorts/skirts, even leggings.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice Light Weight Blouse

Nice light Weight Blouse. It is not see thru, but not a thick material. I bought a medium. It fits perfect across the shoulders and length on the sleeves. I'm a 34DD and this puckers at the button across the girls just slightly. I have put on a few pounds during this quarantine and expect the puckering will go away once that happens. I considered sending it back for a large, BUT since the shoulders/arms fit perfect AND it skims close to my body, buying a bigger size would make these areas "hang" and look sloppy. Also, right now I can wear this untucked, tied, open over a tank, or tucked in and there isn't any real bulk to deal with. Hope this review helps those who are on the fence for size to buy.

I ordered 2 of these shirts/blouses 1) in the white with blue stripes… actually to me, it appears to be more gray than blue. 2) I ordered navy with white tiny dots. 1) the fabric is very soft, not see through, but feels lighter weights than 2. Very silky almost feeling fabric. 2) the feel of this shirt has a coarser feel, unsure if it bc of the dying of the navy…idk. These shirts are very well made. There are no raw seams at all. I washed after receiving, hung them to dry. Some wrinkles. I normally starch and iron my shirts…. Which I have yet to do. I recommend these shirts. I do not think you can find shirts of equal value, including the seaming for this price. I love no strings, and no raw edges…

I've been everywhere and back looking for a nice women's button-up that could accommodate my chest. THIS is the one. I went up a size to make sure it had space, and by god, it fits in a normal bra. None of that button-gapping nonsense here.
The fabric is thin lightweight cotton (but not see through) and will be plenty comfortable throughout the warmer months. I'd recommend wearing this underneath a sweater or a cardigan for the colder months. I'd also like to note that these shirts wrinkle very easily, but that its nothing a good steam/ironing can't fix.

It's a very soft fabric and very well made. There are no open seams. They're all enclosed, which is really amazing I think! When I used to make my own clothes I used to do that. It also looks very nice and I think will probably not wrinkle too easily. I'm very happy with it so far. It's in the washer right now. It has a nice satiny feel and it's light which is good for Tucson Arizona! It's actually a nice large size I ordered 2 x large which is actually pretty big on me, but nice because I can wear it over things and that's what I'm wearing it for. To keep the sun off. Incredibly it's nice and long in my arms too which is very hard to find in a shirt for women, since I have long arms. ??

5.0 out of 5 stars A little snug about the arms.
Reviewed in the United States on November 9, 2019

I ordered this as a replacement because my cintas uniform shirt provided by my employer was trash. It was hot, itchy and unbreathable material (allegedly made from recycled bottles - Eeek) Although this shirt is darker than the powder blue we wear, I decided to buck the system and buy this one because blue is blue in my book. I got the shirt and was surprised at how comfortable it was. Only thing is that the arms was a little snug but it gives a bit so the stretch makes it do-able. In the torso and chest area it fit nice and relaxed the way I wanted it to.
I typically wear an XL in shirts. I am 5'5' and 250lbs, and a 38DD. I ordered a size up (XXL) to allow room for comfortable movement and room for my chest area. If you are okay wearing your size and it be possibly a little form fitting then don't size up. My only concern would be the arms for some it was an issue, for me it would have been if I got the XL. It does stretch a tad so keep that in mind if you are on the fence. I rather my shirts for work a little loose so I wasn't worried about it being form fitting.
I haven't washed this one yet so I dont know about color bleeding if any. The material feels sturdy and light, and it was very breathable. I did not feel overheated in this so that might be good for those who work in hospitality or fast food. To launder I suggest either skip or go very light on softener and use dryer sheets in the dryer. Some of these new he softeners can make your shirts go from soft to paper towel kinda rough, just give it a double rinse and dry low-med tumble on delicate or wrinkle free. This worked well on other work shirts. I do plan to buy more. Great Quality for its price.

I wear a lot of button-downs, mostly as over-shirts with cami's and tanks.
This one meets my expectations.
The fabric is a little thin, but not see-through by any means. I would consider it summer-weight.
Wrinkles sort of easily while worn, so this might be more suited for casual wear. Comes out of the dryer not needing to be ironed, if you remove it promptly. I launder on warm and dry on lukewarm and have noticed no shrinkage.
Stitching is top-notch - no flubbed seams or errant threads.
I am 5'7" and 175, very full B cup, waist is 37" and hips are 45" - I typically wear a L-XL top, in major US brands. I ordered this in the XL and the fit is pretty good. I have "beefy" arms, and this shirt is NOT too tight in the arm for me - I have plenty of arm room.
Manufactured in Bangladesh.
Gratefully received through the ??Vine Program?? for my *honest and unbiased* review.

I decided to order this shirt because I can’t seem to find reasonably priced, casual button down shirts in the store that are made from natural fibers.
I found the feel of the fabric to be quite nice and a decent weight. It washed up well. You could wear it without ironing but I prefer to iron my shirts.
Now, for the “but” in my title. When will clothing manufacturers realize, at least in North America, that most women who wear a large or extra large are not 5’ 10” tall with weight proportional? As you can see in the attached photo, the sleeves are about 3”-4” too long as well as the bit snug at the elbows.
Overall, I do like this shirt and I hope they will make more that have a similar all-over pattern.

I love these shirts, in fact this is the third one I have purchased. The cotton is a nice weight, although I find this one (white w/black dots) just almost too sheer, I can wear it without my body colored bra showing. I'm 5'4" at 135 and 36C and medium, even when washed with warm water and dried in a tumble dryer on warm still fits without gaping. It would look nicer if I ironed it but for my style the gentle rumple straight out of the dryer and folded is just fine. For a shirt of this cost the details are well executed - good sleeve length, nice overall length which can be tucked in or worn out without being too short or too long. The button placement is quite nice - as mentioned, it doesn't gap and I can button it to the button below the collar button without feeling either restricted or like it is too low. The only quibble I have, and the reason for 4 not 5 stars is that the buttons are blocky and hard to manipulate thru the buttonholes. A few pennies spent on a nicer button would result in a 5 star shirt. I would really, really like to encourage Amazon to consider offering this shirt in a soft heavy flannel in the winter - ideally in solid or heathered colors (please not plaid!)

4.0 out of 5 stars To iron or not to iron?

Size: SmallColor: Navy, DotsVerified Purchase
This is a cute, well-made classic shirt. I bought the navy dot version in a size small (I typically wear a size 4 or 6 or small in other labels), and for me it was a true-to-size purchase. A caveat: As often as space permits, I hang-dry most of my tops to preserve their size and color—thus, I have no idea what would happen if you put this shirt in the dryer. Furthermore, as an otherwise responsible person I’m embarrassingly lazy when it comes to ironing clothes, and this girl needs a press to be office-ready if hung to dry. Someone told me to buy a steamer to manage this issue, but either steaming is another thing I’m not adept at or I bought the wrong one. My solution is to wear this nice little shirt with jeans on the weekend when being a little unkempt is not just acceptable but in certain hip circles even desirable. Too much to change your social circle for the sake of a shirt? You decide.

I bought the dark navy with the white dots. Size chart recommended a Large for me, but it was too big; I reordered in a M which is perfect. (I wear a 40B bra and am broad-shouldered, 5'9", 163#.) I washed it in warm, tumble-dried low, and there was no shrinkage nor much wrinkling! I will probably iron the collar and placket but some people might wear it as is. It doesn't have the fit darts or seaming that some women's shirts do, but it's not super-billowy, boxy or mannish either.
Caution: it is indeed VERY thin and would be quite sheer in a light color! I plan to layer it over a tank, and with the dark color, it's not too sheer anyway, but I don't think I'd get it in a light color.

However, if your in doubt, order down a size.

My point is , IF YOU HAVE ANY DEXTERITY ISSUES , or arthritic fingers its WILL BE A PROBLEM. Thank GOD I have a tool to use to pull the buttons through. Unbuttoning does take a lot of time . I love this shirt. The blue flower pattern is not loud, bit not ditsy. Long enough to wear untucked yet not look like a dress or be too much to tuck in. The fabric is not thick which I prefer because sometimes cotton shirts need multiple washes before softer. I'm 40C bust with square shoulders and fits great. I took one star off because the reverse of the fabric is not as pretty and is obvious at the neck line to the collar. That should be taken into consideration since the button front typically is left open at the last few button holes for a flattering V neck opening. Please address this and I will buy more especially in solid colors.

Needed a couple of "Blue-Jean" shirts and this will work. When most people say "button down shirt" they think of the type of collar you see on a man's oxford cloth shirt...with buttons on the collar. This is not that type of shirt. My fault for not actually paying attention to the details on the model. However, the actual collar is pretty small. On the positive side, the color is nice - pink/white stripe, classic in my mind. Although the fabric is a bit on the thin side it will iron nicely - yes it MUST be ironed.

This shirt has an extremely baggy cut to it, and is also fairly thin in terms of material. I saw another review call it a "boyfriend cut". I'm 5'8 and about 120, and it's baggier than a lot of the standard cut men's Goodthread shirts. I know I didn't order the wrong size though because it fits just fine in the shoulders. I like the aqua striped pattern, it's a cute shirt overall but the fit/cut just isn't great for my body, so I'm probably gonna return it, since the slim fit men's Goodthreads in XS are so much better on me. It's probably a better shirt if you're plus sized or wider than you are tall, and I like the pocket and pattern. I wish there was just a little more of a women's shape or brought in on the waist.
It does wrinkle easily but I don't really mind, it's kinda cute. You could easily starch this to prevent that if you wanted.

The fabric of this blouse is very soft. But the proportions are way off: narrow shoulders-if it shrinks it will be too tight across the shoulders; the sleeve length is acceptable, however the neck, bodice and overall length are closer to a size large. At 5’5”, 115 lbs, I purchased a size small. Might be okay layered with a tee underneath to wear around the house. Doubt that I’ll wear it out-even though I prefer blouses to be roomier, it’s not a flattering look.

After reading the reviews, I took a chance on this blouse because the coral plaid was just the colors I was looking for. I ordered an xxl after seeing it was imported, those usually run small. But this one was much too big, the sleeves were past my fingers and the length was like a tunic. I am short 5’2”, but I should have stuck with my regular size…XL. My biggest complaint was the fabric. What was most noticeable even through the package plastic, was how wrinkled the fabric was. This blouse would definitely need ironing after washing and it would really be hard to smooth out. Definitely not a good quality cotton fabric. For the quality, price and fit, I didn’t think it was acceptable. I returned it.

The site suggested that I should order XL. I thought I should order large but changed it to XL because of that. It is too large. Returns are not completely free, neither are exchanges. So I will lose money and still not have a shirt if I return it or I will have to pay more if I exchange it. Not very customer friendly.
If I had known that Amazon charged for returns or exchanges I would not have ordered the shirt.
Other sites I order from have free shipping for returns or exchanges. So no matter how good the quality of this shirt is it is still a bad buy. Also the plaid in the shirt is yellow and orange, not pink and red. It is pretty but not as described.

I really wanted to love this shirt. I need some classic looking shirts for work and this seemed to fit the bill. The fabric was soft and while it wasn't really wrinkle-free it didn't arrive with deep creases. My issue came with the fit of the arms. I ordered an XL and while it was a little short, that is more an issue on my end. I have a very long torso. The arms were the real issue. My arms have never been a trouble spot for me but the sleeves were TIGHT. I couldn't roll them at all and they were very snug rolled down. It was returned.

I ended up returning the shirt because the fabric was very thin and poor quality, I was afraid even when pressed, in a short time it would look slept in. As a home sewer for decades, I pretty much know what a good quality cotton blend broadcloth in shirt weight will hold up. I knew without even trying this shirt on, it would not suit my purpose over time.

But don’t buy it if you want a shirt that’s actually red. In the picture, the floral shirt is shown next to a actual red item for comparison.

This was made for a cartoon. Not a real human. If my stomach is xxl, so are my arms. Simple logic that apparently is no longer employed in clothes making. What gives. Use patterns. From before 1992 which seems to be when people stopped making clothes correctly. This can never be flattering with fabric balled up in strange places because no pattern was used.

Quality and workmanship is excellent, fit needs work. I've been searching for a simple white shirt for literally years. I saw these are made in Bangladesh, and I have yet to be disappointed in their cotton and skill. That is exactly what you will get here. A beautifully made shirt, with fabric you want to live in..... unfortunately... the proportions are slightly off, so order UP depending. For me, I am nearly 6 foot - so I am in love that the sleeves of the XXL were actually long enough. That is as big as they come, so I'm out of luck.
But elbow to shoulder and across the back is a little too snug to wear comfortably. If you need gut room, I don't know what to tell you, it isn't normally found in this style of shirt so it isn't there. The rest of the shirt fit beautiful.
I have no idea what will happen when the shirt is washed. It is cotton.
Don't judge me, I hung the shirt in my closest, and I'll be keeping it. There are a couple other items in there to keep it company.

I bought this because of my serving job. Black, long sleeves, black buttons and preferably a shirt pocket, cotton.
All boxes checked.
However, even though it fits in the bust and hips, rolling up the arms (because long sleeves is too hot) was impossible. I literally had to slice the cuff slit up an extra 4 inches so I can properly roll the sleeves up to my beefy(fat) biceps.
Pros:
The XL was true to size for me (but not in the arms)
The price was reasonable ($22ish)
It checked all my "server dress code" necessities
Cons:
The sleeves are not wide enough for chubber arms
Very wrinkly because it's cotton. TUMBLE in the dryer not good enough
Can't size up past XL

Fits ok but no matter how you wash / dry it's a wrinkled mess. If you enjoy ironing over and over again and still having loads of wrinkles you'll love this rag.

1.0 out of 5 stars Wrinkles Don't Iron Out

The shirt fit nicely even though it was a bit see through but I got the pink color so I am not terribly surprised. The thing that upset me was the even though the shirt felt like it was decent quality it wrinkles very easily and the wrinkles do not iron out very well. I have ironed the iron twice and still can't get all the wrinkles out. I would not recommend because eof this.
